Through the Equip program, WP trained the next generation of healthcare professionals.
WP advanced this work by establishing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including Ministry of Health officials, hospital administrators, and medical and allied health professionals.
In countries such as Mozambique, where the doctor patient ratio was among the lowest globally, approximately 40,000 patients per physician, the shortage of providers was compounded by limited access to professional development and up to date medical research.
To address these gaps, WP partnered with organizations such as SADECO to deliver Training of Trainers (TOT) seminars and host medical conferences, equipping healthcare professionals in resource constrained settings with current knowledge, practical skills, and exposure to global best practices.
